Voices Beyond the Silence
Voices from the Middle East was a landmark exhibition organized by Parisa Projects in partnership with Charleston’s The George Gallery and Peter Anthony Fine Art. The show spotlighted 15 contemporary Iranian artists whose work rarely reached global audiences due to severe digital censorship, near-total internet blackouts, and regional conflict. Overcoming months of delicate logistical hurdles, these creators brought their perspectives to the United States in an unprecedented dual-gallery presentation.
Held from October 2 through October 30, 2026, the exhibition cut through political noise to explore personal identity, industrialization, environmental impact, and human resilience. Rather than flattening the region into a single news headline, the collection celebrated personal agency and shared humanity across paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media pieces.
Abstract works were featured at The George Gallery, while representational works were presented nearby at Peter Anthony Fine Art, with a simultaneous opening reception held on October 2, 2026.
